About Me

Hello and Welcome to Traceys Remedial Hotstone Massage

Welcome to Tracey’s Massage – A specialist in  Remedial  Hot Stone Massage. Treatments will often combine Remedial Massage, Hotstones, Myoskeletal techniques, Stretching, Myofascial Cupping,  and  Lymphatic Drainage. Each treatment is tailored to you personally.

I was inspired to become a therapist after experiencing a lot of pain myself and after going for many, many treatments, decided I need to understand it better. I thought there had to be so many people like me, and here I am today. I had a few surgeries after being diagnosed with breast cancer, spending some time in and out of hospital. I was celebrating my treatment being over with chemo and radiation therapy behind me. I was ready to get on with my life. I just didn’t realise that a year later was when the real pain kicked in and that’s where my journey began and has not stopped. Our body is amazing – shoulders, hips, neck, feet, fascia and the impact tension and dysfunction has on our bodies.

After completing my remedial massage diploma, I became particularly interested in pain patterns, trigger points,  the kinetic chain, Myoskeletal therapy & Manual Lymphatic Drainage (make sure you read the information on the lymphatic drainage massage, I wished I knew about this earlier in life),  I found l loved heat, there is nothing like a hot shower to ease tension – when I trained in remedial hot stone massage, I loved combining remedial techniques with hot stones and so did my clients. Cold stones can also be very effective in the right application. Those who know me know I love learning. I’m often up at crazy hours partaking in training from mentors at odd hours due to time
zone differences.

My earliest memories of massage are as a child, I would sit in a circle with my sister, mum, sometimes cousins and aunts, and we would massage each other’s feet with reflexology books that as kids we didn’t really understand except the colours represented a body part- gee that’s sore what’s that? Many years later, my lovely Mum, Carolyn, broke her neck in an accident and I moved to Bargara to help her. Who would think that all these years later as a remedial massage therapist I would be able to help her? She particularly loves hot stones, myofascial cupping and lymphatic drainage.

I have found that no treatment is the same as we all want and need different things from our treatments. When you make a booking, you will be emailed a confirmation with your appointment details and a client intake form link. Upon arrival, we will discuss, test, and plan your treatment. That is why I like to add an additional 10 or so minutes for your first appointment.

My availability is limited to a few days a week so be sure to plan your appointment ahead of time
